Here is something else you should know about me:
I was born in Valladolid, the capital of the Castillian provice in the center of Spain on an unusually hot 8th of March. A few months after my birth, my family moved to the Basque Country where my dad came originally from. I was raised among the beautiful Basque mountains until age 5 and since then I have lived in several locations around the Spanish geography.
Having Burgos, my mothers original town, as basecamp, I moved for periods of two to four years to Aro, Burgos, Lanzarote, Tarragona,... all beautiful places that gave me an idea of the diversity and richness of the Spanish culture and taught me the importance of expanding life experience.
I have always kept this wanderer spirit. I went to college at Valladolid and then at Burgos. I lived for 3 years in Germany where I had the chance to travel all around Europe, learn different languages and meet incredible people. After that, I opened my eyes to America when the opportunity to do research in Clemson University came to my door. And recently I discovered Asia thanks to an amazing exchange experience.
As you can tell I love travelling. I enjoy multicultural environments, meeting new people and learning from our differences. Learning languages has become a passion to me and helps me on my everyday work.
I am also an enthusiast of history. I loved stories since I was a little kid. As a matter of fact if you had asked me what did I want to become when I grew up, you had been surprised I did not want to be football player, a policeman, a scientist or an astronaut. Instead I wanted to be a librarian, have access to all kinds of book and eventually write my own stories.
Among my hobbies and activities I love movies, enjoy the company of good friends. I like practicing sports like football, volleyball, cycling and jogging, but I am up for any new experience. I enjoy nature and hiking but don’t be surprised if I get lost somewhere along the way taking pictures, photography is almost a need for me; I have to document all the places I visit.
If you like gastronomy I am your best partner. I love cooking and trying exotic recipes. But after eating you will have to join me on the dance floor. I love nightlife and the atmosphere of small bars and discos, I am Spanish, after all. I would dance any kind of rhythm, but if you ask for my opinion, I would rather go for some Latin sound, my favorite one is bachata.
